Concentrically aligned, state-of-the-art, diode lasers mounted in both ends of a heavy-walled tube that slides into diamond drill chucks permitting fast, precise alignment of the drill between accurate survey marks. The unit is most cost effective for long, target definition holes where precise initial drill alignment is desired, or where the mining company merely insists on accurate drill setups (say within 1/2°) by the contractor. Unit pays for itself quickly due to savings in setup time, and to greatly improved/simplified setup procedure and accuracy. Laser drill-hole alignment virtually eliminates arguments regarding drill setup precision. The perfect tool for surveying drill holes, as well. The addition of two simple, moveable/adjustable, lockable magnetic base plates to the standard Model 50 "drill-laser" permits using this portable unit to align ITH (in-the-hole) and other longhole/blasthole drills with steel slides and/or steel traverse beams accurately between stope wall survey marks.

The short or long bases clamp magnetically (35#, 60#, 80# or 140# magnets) to the steel member of the ITH/longhole drills (adjustable for different rail separations and traverse beam profiles), and the machine is trimmed and aligned visually and accurately, between survey marks on the walls (usually vertical lines). These "drill-lasers" also can be supplied with vertical line generators (instead of the single laser spots.)
